Email validation goes far beyond syntax checking. A deliverable email requires a valid format, an existing domain with MX records, an SMTP server that accepts connections, a non-disposable provider, and a mailbox that actually exists. What is Email Validation?
Email validation is the process of verifying that an email address exists, is properly formatted, has functioning mail servers, and is not a disposable or role-based address.
Sending to invalid addresses damages your sender reputation and increases bounce rates. ISPs use bounce rate as a signal to filter future emails — a bounce rate above 2% can trigger spam folder placement. Our validator performs SMTP-level verification, connecting to the recipient's mail server to test if the mailbox actually accepts mail.

Disposable email providers offer temporary inboxes that users delete after sign-up, making re-engagement impossible. Role-based addresses are monitored by teams rather than individuals and often have high complaint rates. Our validator identifies both patterns and flags them as Risky.
Email Syntax & RFC 5322 Validation
A valid email address must follow RFC 5322: a local part, an @ symbol, and a domain with at least one dot. Common mistakes include double dots, missing TLD, and invalid special characters.
